Hubert Gough AKA; General Sir Hubert de la Poer Gough Born; 12th August 1870, Gurteen-Le-Poer, Co. Waterford Died; 18th March 1963, London Wars; Tirah Campaign, Boer War, World War 1 Famous For; Ultimately commanded the Fifth Army in France and was held responsible for the German breakthrough of March 1918. Just prior to the war he commanded the Cavalry Brigade in the Curragh that was responsible for the Curragh Mutiny
